Conduit Installation

Single and multi-duct conduit placed to the specified depth and route — proofed and ready for cable.

DEPTH PER PRINTMULTI-DUCTLOCATE WIRE

01Overview

Single and multi-duct conduit, placed to the print

Conduit is the long-term pathway for the network. ZMB Utilities places single and multi-duct runs at the depth and alignment shown on the print, with locate (tracer) wire where the design calls for it.

Multi-duct conduit bundles several ducts in one run, so future cable can be added without new digging. Tracer wire is a conductor laid with non-metallic conduit so the route can be located from the surface later. Proofing confirms the finished path is continuous and clear before cable placement begins.

Conduit is often placed by directional drilling at crossings and connected to handholes and vaults along the route.

What's included

  • Single and multi-duct runs
  • Depth and alignment to the print
  • Locate (tracer) wire where specified
  • Connections to handholes and vaults
  • Proofing before handover

02Process

How the work gets done.

01

Review

Confirm conduit specification, depth, route and access points from the print.

02

Place

Install the conduit run to depth and alignment, with locate wire where specified.

03

Connect

Terminate runs at handholes and vaults as designed.

04

Proof & record

Proof the path and record the installation for the as-built.

03Good fit

When to use it

  • New fiber routes that need a long-term pathway
  • Multi-duct builds that reserve capacity for the future
  • Crossings that pair with directional drilling

05Questions

Frequently asked

Do you install multi-duct conduit?

Yes. Single and multi-duct runs are placed to the specification on the print.

What does proofing mean?

Confirming the conduit path is continuous and clear, so the cable can be placed without surprises.

Planning an underground or fiber project?

Send the prints and the scope. We will review them and come back with a quote.
